75 merit female students, daughters of non-graduate parents, in their fourth year of secondary school, have been selected from all over Italy to begin a university guidance program dedicated to the world of technology-from biotechnology to robotics, via computer science to physics-whose main moment will be in July, during the "STEM, le ragazze si mettono in gioco" university guidance course. The 75 names were announced during the National Week of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM, an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) disciplines promoted by the Ministry of University and Research, and on the eve of the International Day of Women and Girls in STEM, which for 2024 falls on Sunday, February 11. The aim of the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies' track, which combines guidance for choosing university studies and social mobility, is to introduce female students to the opportunities offered by university pathways related to the areas of science, technology, mathematics for education and scientific research. This initiative is funded for some activities by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and benefits from the financial contribution of the Fondazione “Il Talento all’Opera” and PagoPA.
